Privacy Policy

HI Island Roots (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a family-run microgreens farm on Oʻahu. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We only collect the information you choose to give us. When you submit our wholesale inquiry form or contact us, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, your restaurant or business name, your email address or phone number, and any message you send.

Analytics & cookies

We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors find and use our website — for example which pages are viewed and how people reach us. This is set up with privacy in mind: analytics cookies are only placed after you accept them in our cookie banner, IP addresses are not stored, and we never use the data for advertising or to personally identify you.

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. If you decline — or simply ignore it — no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for this site.

We also use one small first-party cookie of our own to remember how you first found us — for example through a search, a social post, or a link someone shared — so that when you send an inquiry we can understand where it came from. This cookie stays on your device, is never shared with third parties, and is not used for advertising or to identify you personally.

How we use it

We use the information you provide solely to respond to your inquiry, set up and service your wholesale account, and communicate with you about varieties, pricing, orders, and deliveries. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties except where necessary to operate our business (for example, our email provider, or Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics) or where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and account information only as long as needed to serve you and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. Just reach out and we’ll take care of it.
